There’s a sculpture garden in Seattle Washington which sports this offering.  It fascinated me.

So it will remind you of winter even when everything is green? Seriously, though, that is a lovely piece of sculpture, and a great capture on your part!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

A very fine talent produced that work – and it is an excellent, unique choice for today.

I took the photo of the Yamaha then, yes. I have a long archive.

    It’s so life-like, such a cool sculpture.

The tree looks so real. Some of my favorite photos are of the stark branches of a tree in winter in silhouette against the sky.

Stop by and see my metal photos if you have time.

Love how this metal sculpture artistically mimics the wonderful art of Nature! It almost seems to be a tribute to Nature! Beautiful shot!

WOW! That is really stunning! And to think that tree is made of metal! Way cool and great finds you have there!:)

Nice take on the theme. One suggestion: I would move back a little bit and move the subject out of the center of the photo. Use the “rule of thirds” composing your photographs to create more interest in the shot. I hope you don’t mind the input, and I really do like the shot. :0)

How I’d love to have this sculpture in my yard!

  15. Smarmoofus Says:

Tarheel, I thank you for your input, but in this case I think that it was appropriate the break the rules and center my frame around the subject. If you will note, the tree itself is obeying the rule of thirds, having distinct sections which take up portions of the photo… the trunk, the lower branches, and the extended branches. Sometimes it’s okay to focus on the focal point.

Great choice! I’d love to see that in person. It had all kinds of thoughts running through my head – but that’s what art is supposed to do , isn’t it?

  19. Criz Lai Says:

From far it looked so real. The creator is a genius. :)

About my photo – good guess. It is copper pipe stacked at the plumbing supply company where I work.

  22. Mojo Says:

At first glance I thought this was a painting. An artist’s rendering for an architectural bid or something. Fascinating is a good word for it. It certainly is engaging.

Mine’s a bit more prosaic (and a lot less popular apparently!) but it’s up!

  23. Gabriel Says:

Definitely a piece of art. What a great post you had today!

    Please come check mine
