Relatives are for practicing… right?
Just nod your agreement. It’s okay.
My cousin, once again, asked if I could start working on pictures of her family. She likes to do them annually, and with her bunch a studio shoot just isn’t feasible. So, in I swoop, camera in hand. Okay, “swoop” is too strong a word. I meandered in, in my untimely fashion. As always. But we managed to get a few decent shots, and–trust me!–that’s more than decent work. I’ve got a whole month of NaBloPoMo to fill up, so I’ll save the individual kid shots for other posts. For now, here is a sampling of the group shots…
I love the way Lily is looking at her daddy in this one:
Left: Lily is the only one looking at the camera, but this shot just screams this family. The chaos is perfect.
Right: The kids want to see their Nana and Papaw.
This was the best we could hope for, as far as getting everybody to cooperate, smile, and look in the general direction of the camera. Will is looking down at Ethan, but everybody else is playing nicely.

Wait. Your cousin is the “she” in this bunch? I’d have bet long folding green you were related to the “he”… the resemblance is uncanny. (Other than a few obvious differences I mean. C’mon.)
Love the shot of the kids at the door… a classic Our Gang kinda thing.
I never really paid much attention to NaBloPoMo but if it’s going to mean you’re back among us, I call it a Good Thing.

Hmm… I think I’ve pretty consistently referred to my cousin as “she” and “her”… I think. Anyway, yes… her father is my mother’s brother.
Yes, I’ve been meaning to get back into finding time for daily blogging, and knowing NaBloPoMo was coming up was good motivation. So I’ll use this to get the habit going, and try to make it continue beyond the next 28 days.

I love the picture of them all at the door. I think it’d be cool if you got another shot just like that with your cousin sticking her head out and saying, “No! we don’t want any more!” LOL ;-)
