Hey Carmi… I took this picture in a parking deck somewhere in Paris on one of my trips there. I don’t recall seeing recharge stations at all of the parking garages, but I imagine if you drive an electric car, you can find enough of them and learn where they are that you rarely have to worry about running out of power. I think it’s brilliant.
Now seriously, did you ever guess in 2003 that vehicules electriques would come into vogue five years down the road? At that time I’m sure they were still mainly a novelty item even in Europe, non?
Honestly, my prejudice leans toward a diesel-electric over hydraulic setup that nobody seems to be giving much thought to. Too bad I’m not an engineer… I could make a killing.
I was ready to bring my electric (golf) car until I read in the comment this spot was in Paris.
We didn’t see any of those while we were driving around there but maybe we didn’t know what we were seeing. :-)
Happy WW, thank you for the visit and nice comment. That is the kind of home delivery we get too, a friend or relative brings it.
..
BTW, did I ever tell you that I am retired and still keep my bar dues up? I taught law at a community college and only did a few legal things.
..
Great image. I saw a few parking spaces like that at a university here in California about a decade ago. I expected to see more of them cropping up… but I never did.
First of all, how in the world were you able to be the First in Line to sign up for WW?
I think I’m number 2,345 !
Have never been to Paris. Actually, have never been to France, but would love to visit and attend the French Open sometime.
Wonder what would happen if someone parked their horse and buggy there? Guess it wouldn’t matter as long as the horse couldn’t read.
Happy WW. Mine today is the first in a series…”Recipe for Disaster.”
Subtitle: “Watch my husband climb a ladder perched in the back of a pickup truck.”

I absolutely ADORE this shot! Where did you find it? The French just does it for me…I’m a little biased given where I come from.
(Montreal)
Looks like WW is already off to an amazing start! Mine’s up, too.
