His jaw set in the angle of grim determination, he soldiered on. She watched, troubled by his need to save the world, wishing she could do more to ease his burden.
Misreading her frown of concern, he vowed to not rest ’til she was free from all her worries.
His will be a long war.
Story behind the story:
The bar is open, and we are serving Diet Pepsi with love–er, lime. Come in, take a load off, and have a drink or three. Let’s worry about each other.
