55 Flash Fiction Friday: Spelling

This is my bajillionth 55 Flash Fiction story. Or maybe it’s only my thirteenth. Who can count? Enjoy the show:

“R-H-I-N-O-S-O-C-E-R-U-S… That doesn’t look right.”
“Just spell it with ’sauce’ blatantly in the middle.”
“This doesn’t look right. I’m gonna look it up,” she said, opening Google.
“Really?” he asked incredulously. “You’re going to look up a word that doesn’t exist?”
“But–” she started.
“The word is rhinoceros!”
“Oh…” she laughed at herself, feeling foolish.

    hehehe – I always mispronounce things, Meconium was a recent one. I kept trying to add an “r” to it. Mer-cone-ium :P

    I like both words!

    I use google all the time to try and figure out words. It works better than any dictionary I have ever used.

    I have terrible spelling – but I make up for it by having bad handwriting. Funny 55. Thanks for commenting.

    That’s funny. :)

    I love that Firefox has spell checking built in. Between it and dictionary.com, I can get just about any word right.
